13th World Conference on Lung Cancer13th World Conference on Lung Cancer

In 2009, the biennial conference hosted by International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer introduced a new staging system for tumours that translates into a better chance of survival for lung cancer patients. The Conference Publishers produced the onsite tabloid that helped tell the story. (Mrs. Brasloff and Mrs. Plavsa, this one was for you.)

 

 

TUG ConnectsTUG Connects

Since 2010, The Conference Publishers has produced daily newsletter text at TheUserGroup.org‘s annual conference. The IT managers and users at this meeting rely on several different software platforms and work for dozens of different companies, and the newsletter is one aspect of a conference designed to bring them all together.

 

 

Canadian Public Health AssociationCanadian Public Health Association

The Conference Publishers first went onsite with the Canadian Public Health Association in the late 1980s, and has produced the daily newsletter at CPHA’s annual conference since 2005. In 2010, we  helped the association celebrate its centenary by producing three onsite dailies in English and French.

 

 

14th National Metropolis Conference14th National Metropolis Conference

The 14th National Metropolis Conference brought together the latest research and perspectives on immigration and settlement in Canada. The Conference Publishers produced a daily newsletter that became a reference point onsite and a valuable legacy document after participants went home.

 

 

XVI International AIDS ConferenceXVI International AIDS Conference

In August 2006, more than 33,000 delegates from around the world converged in Toronto, Canada for the XVI International AIDS Conference. The conference brought front-line researchers, advocates, and HIV/AIDS educators together with key global decision-makers, from Stephen Lewis to Bill Clinton to Melinda and Bill Gates. The Conference Publishers had produced tabloids for previous international AIDS conferences in Geneva (1998) and Vancouver (1996). This was the first time we delivered most of the content in English, French, and Spanish, producing six onsite editions that totalled 76 tabloid pages.

Georgia Basin Puget Sound Research ConferenceGeorgia Basin Puget Sound Research Conference

In March 2007, the Georgia Basin Puget Sound Research Conference explored the environment and sustainability issues affecting an important North American ecosystem. In addition to a daily newsletter in English and French, The Conference Publishers produced a post-conference thematic report in newsletter format, as well as a selected summary report that captured key conference sessions in more detail.
