Society, education and even the way our brains work have all been strongly impacted by the advent of computers and social media. So much has changed so quickly that we have barely had time to ponder it all.
Last fall at Event Camp Twin Cities 2011, Lynn Randall of Randall Insights, Andrea Sullivan of BrainStrength Systems and I got into a fascinating discussion on this topic and how it all relates to the events industry. Lynn had much to say as the subject is a personal as well as professional interest of hers. (Randall insights helps planners apply the lessons of neuroscience and macroergonomics to supercharge engagement.)
The discussion continues this Monday on the #eventtable Twitter Chat at 3 pm et when Lynn joins the chat as our special guest. To give you an idea of what the discussion will be like, Lynn provides answers to a couple of questions on the topic in the video below.
COINCIDENTALLY this week I was working as a Social Media Concierge at an IBM conference at which legendary software developer Grady Booch was conducting interviews for a multi-part documentary on how computers are changing humanity. I decided to ask him about it in the video at the bottom.
